Advertising on Palcut intermediate sheets
Palcut is exhibiting new products at Interpack, including intermediate sheets for palletisation that can also be used for advertising, a solution for producing your own intermediate sheets on site, a Smoother for high-grammage sheets and a modular Palcut sheet dispenser.
Advertising on intermediate sheets
Palcut exhibits its new Point-of-Sale concept at Interpack: The Antim intermediate sheet has side flaps that hang over the goods on the pallet. You can print promotional material on the flaps, which will be visible when the pallet is set out. This is an effective way of ensuring visibility at a time when more and more retail chains are limiting in-store promotion.
“Antim65 point-of-sale is a cheap all-in-one concept for brand marketing in shops,” says Rudi Pedersen, Managing Director of Palcut, before continuing: “It saves precious time for everyone involved and gives brands greater visibility in these times where more and more shops are cutting down on allocating space for signs and sales displays from suppliers.”
New products include a Palcut sheet cutter and Antim non-slip paper, which is delivered ready for use with the desired print. Perfect for time-limited and targeted campaigns.
Antim Stacker gives flexibility
Palcut is testing a new concept at Interpack: Palcut Stacker. It is a module that connects to a Palcut sheet dispenser. The stacker consists of a lifting system, among other things, which places the cut sheets on a pallet for use elsewhere in the business.
“Many of our customers have packaging lines where they pack by hand. Here they need a solution for producing intermediate sheets internally,” says Lars Østergaard Jonasen, Product Manager at Palcut, before elaborating: “With a Palcut Stacker installation, they can cut sheets for the other packaging lines. The advantage is flexibility, reduced storage requirements and less capital tied up in stock.”
Lars Jonasen is looking forward to customer feedback on the concept. “If they give it the thumbs up, we will soon have the finished solution on the market.”
“Smoother” for high-grammage sheets
Palcut Smoother is a patented solution that removes tension from sheets with a heavy paper quality, namely 250 grams/m2 and above. This means that the cut sheets lie flat and ready on the packing robot’s collection table. In this way, all the paper on the roll can be used. This reduces the number of roll changes and interruptions to operation.
Modular structure allows greater agility
The new Palcut sheet dispensers have a modular design, which means that the basic version can be easily adapted to the vast majority of packaging lines. It is also easy to add new functions later such as rapid paper changes using a cart with a paper roll, which quickly places the new paper roll in the sheet dispenser with precision. This reduces the change time to a few minutes. In addition to the easy integration with the customer’s packaging lines, the modular concept will reduce the delivery time.
Unveiling of new corporate identity
Palcut is taking the opportunity to present its corporate identity at Interpack 2017 in Düsseldorf. This includes a new logo, a new graphic identity and a completely new stand design, focusing on Palcut and Antim’s exceptional properties, which can increase uptime and efficiency in packaging lines while also reducing costs and environmental impact.
