SDG 7 – sustainable energy
At Palcut, we support UN Global Goal 7, which focuses on ensuring access to sustainable and affordable energy for all. For us, this means reducing CO₂ emissions and using energy more efficiently.
We have chosen to focus on Target 7.3, which aims to improve energy efficiency. This is where we can make the biggest difference, both in our production and in the solutions we deliver to our customers.
Target 7.3 – Improving energy efficiency
We continuously work to optimize energy use across our production. This includes fine-tuning our equipment, reducing waste, and improving power consumption.
CO₂ calculations play an important role in our processes. They help us identify solutions that make production more energy-efficient without compromising quality.
Our goal is to keep improving by using fewer resources and reducing the consumption of both raw materials and energy toward 2030.
Energy Efficiency Beyond Production
We also look beyond our own facilities, focusing on how our products are transported and how we can reduce our footprint all the way to the customer. We continuously invest in new technologies and solutions that support our ultimate goal: a CO₂-neutral future.
SDG 12 – Responsible consumption and production
At Palcut, we support UN Global Goal 12 by reducing waste, optimizing resource use, and strengthening circular economy principles in our production.
We focus especially on Target 12.5, which aims to reduce waste generation and make paper use smarter.
Target 12.5 – Significantly reduce waste
One layer at a time. Our anti-slip paper is designed to minimize waste and make the most of every roll.
Through initiatives such as recycling paper cores, optimizing production processes, and improving material sorting, we work continuously to reduce waste and improve resource utilization.
Our goal is to keep lowering the use of raw materials and secondary products through 2030 and to create stronger, more sustainable solutions for our customers.
SDG 15 – life on land
Our FSC®-certified paper supports sustainable forest management. This means our products help protect nature and ensure the responsible use of forest resources.
We focus on Target 15.2, which aims to halt deforestation and promote reforestation.
Target 15.2 – Stop deforestation and restore degraded forests
95% of our paper is recycled, and only 5% is made from new wood fibers. This reduces the need for logging and lowers our CO₂ footprint.
When our paper is recycled, it contributes to closing the loop and supporting a circular paper economy.
