On-demand production of antislip-sheets
Palcut A/S, specialists in palletising solutions, shows the new Palcut Flex-Sheet solution at the All4Pack exhibition in Paris, from 26 to 29 November. With Flex-Sheet, companies can produce anti-slip interlayer sheets for manual palletising – on-demand and with optional sheet size. In addition, a new online tool calculates the potential savings with Palcut palletisation.

There is a need for companies themselves to produce anti-slip interlayer sheets for manual palletising. Therefore, Palcut introduces the Flex-Sheet sheet dispenser that cuts loose interlayer sheets as needed. It is based on the Palcut sheet dispenser, which is known from fully automated palletising systems. It cuts interlayer sheets in 1/1, 1/2 and 1/4 pallet sizes – or optional from the width of the paper roll. It automatically stacks the sheets on a pallet so they can easily be transported to the palletising lines.
Palcut’s Antim65 anti-slip paper is delivered on rolls of up to 5,000 metres and in different grades – from 90 to 400 g/m2. Flex-Sheet is easy to place at the company as it has a very small footprint.
“Many of our customers have packing lines where they hand pack. Here, they often need an on-demand solution where they can produce interlayer sheets internally,” says Lars Østergaard Jonasen, Product Manager at Palcut, and he continues:
“With a Palcut Flex-Sheet, they can cut sheets for the different packing lines. The advantage is great flexibility as well as reduced storage space and less stock tie-up.”
The Antim65 paper typically replaces sheets in heavy cardboard or corrugated cardboard. A special coating gives the paper anti-slip properties that stabilize the pallets and thus reduce the risk of transport damage.
Online calculation of savings
Palcut has recently introduced a new, online tool that calculates the potential savings to be made by using an automated Palcut sheet dispenser with Antim65 anti-slip sheets on rolls. The tool is located at http://palcutdowntime.beregner.net, and it only takes a few key figures to calculate the potential savings.
Examples show that, in some cases, manufacturing companies can reduce costs by several hundreds of thousands of euros a year, because downtime can be significantly reduced due to fewer production stops to replace sheet magazines and lost interlayer sheets.
Both the Flex-Sheet solution and the online calculator are demonstrated at Palcut’s stand: Stand 7 C 200.
