Palletization paper
Injuries, leaks, and overturned goods. Unfortunately, these are typical results when the palletization is less than optimal. There are many options on the market for palletization of different products. Perhaps you are already familiar with some of the options for safe transport, such as stretch film, boxes, and cardboard – all well-known products that could seem like obvious choices.
The key lies in your worst cases – how did you experience your goods being negatively affected during transport? The thing you need to identify is: What are the potential obstacles that your goods meet on the road? And where do you generally face problems when your goods need to reach the customers in professional-looking condition or when stored? You might not be fully aware of which factors that come into play. With in-depth knowledge, our experts can guide you in making the right decision for better palletization and smoother production flow.
Tilting towards safe transport with these 7 paper palletization options
There is a palletization solution for everybody, and we will give you a short rundown of these seven paper options so you can make the right decision for your palletiatzion needs. There are pros and cons to them all – it comes down to the nature of your goods.
Liquim® sheets in BRONZE, SILVER, and GOLD
Keeping liquid away from your goods – Liquim® has the potential to streamline your palletization. You can expect that your goods will stay intact during transportation and in storage despite conditions that could potentially compromise products, such as leakage.
Many circumstances can affect your goods both indoors and outdoors. But the Liquim®-series eliminates this risk because all three – BRONZE, SILVER, and GOLD – have a liquid-resistant barrier. Looking at our SILVER- and GOLD editions, you’ll get an extra layer of anti-slip coating on either one or both sides, which ensures solid stabilisation during rough handling. It is always important to be aware of your specific needs, as even seemingly small nuances can cause problems.
Antim® for any type of goods
Do you have heavy, slippery, or other goods that are challenging to transport safely? Then Antim® can be the answer to your palletization problems, as it creates strong stabilization – even when the warehouse manager is driving a bit too recklessly, or the transporter is a bit behind schedule.
Your goods come in various sizes, forms, and structures. We have two versions: Antim® and Antim® X. Both are constructed with a slip angle of more than 45-50 degrees, making it possible to have a rough journey from A to B. Antim® has anti-slip on both sides for maximum stabilization where Antim® X is optimal for lighter goods. It’s perfect for seamless palletization but also reduces paper consumption by up to 40% and reduces the amount of stretch foil needed for safe transport – a solution that is an important choice towards a more sustainable way of thinking.
Linerboard
A double-layered paper sheet made from strong recycled paper is a cost-effective choice and can provide basic palletization for your goods transport. It is a favorable alternative to cardboard but is sensitive to rough handling and moisture seeping in from various places. We recommend storage conditions from 10-40 C and a humidity of 45-60%.
Cardboard
This versatile material is constructed in a wet state without glue. It is a combination of compressed paper that can be a single layer or many and has a grammage span from 200-500 g/m2. The natural friction that cardboard creates protects your goods from scratches and marks, and it is the minimum for basic stabilization during storage and transportation.
Cardboard is a basic palletization product we recommend for storage conditions from 10-40 C and a humidity from 45-60%. It is a solution that can keep your palletization cost down and can be customized to your specific needs.
Smooth operations rely on the perfect palletization
Several factors play a role in determining how you can make sure your goods transport proceeds in the most efficient and optimal way. There are several challenges that a Palcut palletization paper sheet can solve. Here is a list of factors that significantly impact a streamlined transport flow.
- Grammage of the sheets has an influence on the stability of your goods on the pallets, depending on the weight distribution. There is a big difference between transporting liquid in bottles and books in boxes, for instance. Compression strength can be much better with our anti-slip paper.
- Number of layers. Sometimes it’s not enough with paper sheets on one product layer. It’s interesting to see that adding anti-slip paper to more than one product layer makes a huge difference for some of our customers, who report that it ensures that their goods are in the same condition upon arrival at the destination as when they left the warehouse.
- Weather conditions. A factor that is impossible to control – therefore, we recommend adjusting your palletization for common obstacles such as water getting to your products. To prevent your goods from getting damp or wet, Liquim® is the way to go, either with anti-slip or without.
