Responsibility in practice – every day
We measure, adjust, and improve one layer at a time.
At Palcut, responsibility isn’t about big headlines. It’s about concrete actions in our daily work. Small adjustments that together make a big difference — for the climate, for our workplace, and for our shared future.
See how we put responsibility into practice below.
Sustainable choices that last
We work with circular economy principles as a natural part of our production. Our FSC®-certified paper is made from 95% recycled material, and our systems are designed to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Here are some of the specific improvements we focus on every day:
-
Reusing paper cores: Our cores (from paper rolls) are used around five times before being replaced, saving both waste and resources.
-
Closed-loop system: Excess friction material is reused in production so nothing goes to waste.
-
Water-based coating: We use an environmentally friendly coating without harmful solvents, making recycling easier.
-
Paper waste recycling: All excess paper is collected and sent for recycling.
And our efforts don’t stop at the factory gate. Our approach to CO₂ and resource management extends across the entire value chain.

Lower CO₂ starts with small steps
Over the past year, we’ve significantly reduced our electricity and water consumption and increased our share of renewable energy to 80%. Even though production has grown, we use less energy per unit. And that’s exactly how we plan to keep moving forward.

We take care of people – and the future
Safety and well-being go hand in hand. We haven’t had a single workplace accident since 2021, and we continue to invest in ergonomics, health, and flexible working conditions so our employees can thrive — and choose to stay with us.
