Stable palletising in humid environments with Liquim® SILVER

Our Liquim® SILVER anti-slip paper is the ideal solution for applications where condensation poses a risk to pallet stability. This interlayer paper features a liquid-resistant barrier, with an anti-slip coating on one side and regular Linerboard on the other side.

Unlike conventional Linerboard sheets that dissolve and deteriorate due to condensation, Liquim® SILVER’s liquid-resistant barrier ensures the sheet retains its strength, keeping the pallet stable throughout transportation. It doesn’t reduce the emergence of condensation, but it significantly reduces the risk of collapsed pallets. The paper’s fibers and anti-slip function are preserved, thanks to the liquid-resistant barrier.

Perfect for wet environments and areas with fluctuating temperatures, Liquim® SILVER guarantees the protection needed to prevent condensation from impacting pallet stability. Whether the anti-slip side faces up or down, this paper is designed to meet your specific needs and requirements. However, it is our experience that in the case of condensation challenges, it is most advantageous to place the paper sheet with the anti-slip side facing upwards.

Condensation does not have to be a source of frustration

In Southern Europe, summers are very hot, and bottled spring water, pumped from underground at a chilly six degrees, faces a problem when transported in hot lorries that can easily reach 45-50 degrees. This temperature change causes immediate condensation, damaging the traditional corrugated cardboard packaging and compromising pallet stability. However, switching to Liquim® SILVER resolves this issue. Condensation settles on the paper, gradually soaking in, ensuring the liquid can dry without harming the stability of the packaging.

When should you use Liquim® SILVER paper?

Liquim® SILVER is suitable for transportation in humid environments, or where fluctuating temperatures cause condensation. While condensation can destroy conventional interlayer sheets and significantly impair the stability of the pallet, Liquim® SILVER ensures that the sheet retains its strength and keeps the pallet stable all the way to the customer.

Please note that the dark side of the paper best repels water. The one-sided coating can also help to facilitate palletising when products need to be moved and repositioned, as well as with manual palletising. The downward-facing coating ensures stability while the upward-facing side allows for a full range of movement.
